Being one of the deadliest diseases and expensive to treat, Cancer poses serious challenges in countries like India due to low cancer awareness among people, problems with early diagnosis and reduced exposure to advanced treatments. This article outlines the current cancer scenario in India and the challenges we face. Cancer is the second-most fatal disease in India after cardiovascular diseases. 2.5 million Indians are currently living with the disease with more than 7,00,000 new cases and  5,56,400 deaths every year.
