India is a large country having 707 districts. Each district has district hospital, sube center, primary health center etc to cater the population. Like Indian police services, Indian Administartive services, cant we have Indian medical services? It should be a transferable job under goverment of India, each IMS officer will actias the CEO of one district. These officers can be a part of the secretarial officers of health ministry also (both state and center).
They will execute government policies and involve in patient care and research. During British rule we had this system in place. What is your opinion regarding this?
