Attention is sought to be drawn to the very important matter regarding the proposed change of the MODE OF EXECUTION of persons awarded capital punishment from HANDING TO LETHAL INJECTION as proposed by the Law Commission. The matter was referred to the Ethics Committee of the Medical Council of India in the form of a paper cutting and verbal request to take the matter up for discussion in the Ethics Committee. 39 The Ethics Committee seriously discussed and debated the whole matter.
