A 70-year-old female presented with a swelling of the greater trochanteric area but a pain-free hip joint. The range of joint motion of the hip was slightly limited but in line with a well-functioning prosthetic implant. She has a history of total hip arthroplasty 6 years back and a subsequent early revision for prosthetic instability in the same year.
