A 58 years old woman with diabetes mellitus,gout,under medications has Hba1c 5.9, uric acid 4.2, with past history of treated acute pyelonephritis has uti ,urine c/ s reports showed E.coli growth having sensitivity to 1) NFT, 2) cotrimoxazole 3) ciprofloxacin 4) moxifloxacin 5) gentamicin 6) amikacin 7 imipenen 8) meropenem 9) tigecycline 10) cefoperazone and sulbactum. Pt. L FT Normal, S.creatinine 1.25( 0.8 to 1.1) Pt.is already on moxifloxacin after giving urine sample.
My query can moxifloxacin be continued or there is other suitable agent for this patient? Please share.
