A 35 yr old patient, k/c/o diabetes (on sulfonylureas since 3 yrs) and hypertension (on atenolol), complained of itching, the itching was more severe at bed time. After giving him  him antihistamics for some days, I gave him treatment for scabies, with gama scab lotion topically, antihistaminics, tab ivermectin 12mg (two doses 15 days apart) and tetmosol soap. After this treatment patient felt beter but still had some itching. He wwent to another doc who prescribed him antihistaminics and dexona.

Now after 2 months the patient came back again, saying the itching was never resolved and he still continues to have itching. Can this be due to his antidiabetic mediation (sulfonylureaas). Please suggest
