WHO reports that more than 2 billion people worldwide are overweight, of which 650 million are obese . Obesity is a significant risk factor for several medical complications, including diabetes mellitus, hypertension, dyslipidemia, cardiovascular disease, stroke, sleep apnea, gallbladder disease, hyperuricemia, gout, and osteoarthritis. Certain cancers have also been associated with obesity, including colorectal and prostate cancer in males and endometrial, breast, and gallbladder cancer in females. To share insights on obesity, the CMS-Docplexus Training Program on Obesity Management will be conducted over 23 weeks.
