Sacubitril/valsartan combined with dapagliflozin has demonstrated individual cardiovascular and renal benefits, but evidence supporting their combined use in non-diabetic patients with advanced chronic kidney disease (CKD) remains limited. To address this gap, a study evaluated the efficacy and safety of this combination therapy in 134 non-diabetic patients with advanced CKD. Over a median period of six months, the study demonstrated superior renal and clinical benefits with sacubitril/valsartan plus dapagliflozin compared with sacubitril/valsartan alone in patients with advanced CKD.

The combination therapy resulted in a significantly smaller decline in estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) from baseline (36.35 to 30.92 mL/min/1.73 m²) compared with sacubitril/valsartan alone (40.01 to 25.42 mL/min/1.73 m²). The combination therapy also resulted in greater reductions in blood…
