Synopsis Chronic osteomyelitis is a frequent complication after compound fractures of the lower extremity. The aim of the present study is to evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of latissimus dorsi myocutaneous flap (stage I) combined with iliac bone flap (stage II) in the treatment of chronic osteomyelitis of the lower extremity.
