History An 8-year-old boy presented with pain in his left knee and difficulty in walking after sustaining a combined injury of falling and contact trauma. Radiological findings Radiographic studies demonstrated conventional X-ray results, and a computed tomography (CT) scan depicted a fracture of the intercondylar eminence. Post-operation, the knee was immobilized in extension for four weeks. Physiotherapy was initiated immediately after surgery.
Post-operative findings A follow-up CT scan after six weeks of surgery showed starting of consolidation. MRI scan eight weeks after injury displayed a complete consolidation of the fracture.
