A 60-year-old female patient has been complaining of left earache of 3 months duration. One month ago a swelling appeared on the left side of the neck that progressively increased in size. 2 days ago she complained of change of her voice together with dysphagia. On indirect laryngoscopy, there was froth in the region behind the larynx.
