Karnataka govt has officially made it mandatory for rural service for doctors after MBBS and other states soon to follow this. A great move, I fully support it for the following reasons 1) Govt and courts started a movement to degrade the medical profession to the low ebb. You need to put a final nail to the coffin right? 2) As it is, fresh MBBS graduates are getting less preference in the marital market.
Thanks to the govt for making sure doctors never get married as now, 1-year post-MBBS rural service is compulsory, 1-year rural service after MD/MS and 1 year after DM/Mch. Population control should start with doctors, I liked it.
