Globally, diabetes has been reported as one of the major comorbid conditions affecting the treatment outlook in COVID-19 cases. Predictors of poor outcomes of COVID-19 include age, concomitant diseases like diabetes, cardiac insufficiency, and pulmonary disorders, and reduced immunity and high inflammatory responses. Hence, special norms or guidelines are required to manage COVID-19 in diabetic patients.
