Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, researchers have tried to find the most effective and safe treatment modality for the disease. These treatment strategies have changed over time in accordance with new evidence gathered from several clinical trials and public health records. To provide a framework for the treatment of COVID-19, the Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA) recently released a set of updated guidelines for the management of COVID-19 consisting of 32 recommendations based on the latest evidence available.
