Even though five months have passed since August 2014 when over 28 women developed adverse drug reaction at Bhabha and Rajawadi hospitals and one passed away, the PharmacoVigilance committee is still on planning mode. These patients developed adverse drug reaction (ADR) after having been administered a variant combination of five drugs( (anti-fever, antacid and anti-vomiting) of which two, Ceftriaxone and Cefotaxime had been used in Kurla Bhabha tragedy.
