COVID-19 transmission is burdensome to control, and scientists predict that the spread is going to affect a significant number of people worldwide, even though aggressive community mitigation interventions have been put in place. The rate of COVID-19 infections and death rates are increasing exponentially in some countries. The latest data represents as many as 14,910 deaths worldwide due to the infection. The confirmed cases in around 192 countries have hiked up to over 3,40,000 . The mortality rate is still unpredictable, but the rate of infected persons has doubled over time in several countries.
