PLASTICS in Solid Urban Waste: Walking half a kilometer down the road, one often sees garbage with plastic wastes dumped carelessly along the roadsides that exposes people to beetles (bugs), ticks, fleas, flies, cockroaches, stinging insects, mites, mice, rats, dogs, cows and birds, each with its own peculiar germs, most of which help in the decomposition process but many are pathogenic to man. Also dumped are piles of mud, slushy dirt, and gravel beside dangerously dug open spots on the paving with vehicles parked irregularly and retailers blocking the roads with their goods. The first symptom people notice (especially at bedtime) is severe itching along the lower limbs and torso.
