A 61-year-old man came to me with unilateral hearing loss and intermittent dizziness. He also underwent angioplasty for IHD three months back. I got his MRI done which shows a huge CP angle tumor, most likely to be a vestibular schwannoma. I propose to plan a Translab/RS excision along with a neurosurgeon as we are a team and have experience of tackling this tumor for a long time now.

My question is in view of the recent angioplasty the cardiologist is worried about restenosis of the stent and has asked me to defer the surgery for a few months. Invited opinions from experienced friends on this forum about should we wait? If yes how long one can wait and what is the correct time to intervene? Suggest total Vs intracapsular debulking.
