The rapid spread of "super malaria" in the South East Asia is an alarming global threat and there is an urgent need to eliminate it before the drug-resistant strain of malaria becomes untreatable again, scientists have warned. The dangerous form of the malaria parasite which cannot be killed with the main anti-malaria drugs emerged in Cambodia but has since spread through parts of Thailand, Laos and has arrived in southern Vietnam.
