60 yr old male patient with chronic history of smoking and alcohol suddenly noticed a swelling in his neck abt one month back..O/E the swelling (hard feel lymph Node probably) is mobile and hard no indentation or pulsations noticed no pain or inflamatory signs no fever no cough apart from the occasional cough from smoking(while smoking)..no h/o TB or any other syntemic illness no h/o typhoid recently no weight loss reported..can some one give me DDx fro this .My choices are.. Infection Occult TB Underlying Malignamcy Lipoma Lymphadenopathy of no specific cause(viral probably).. I have started him on Antibiotics jus to see how he responds if it's an infection and ordered a CBP and CXR and Sr.electrolytes..
