Dear all, Over the past decade, I have seen a worrying decline in the working standards of doctors, longer working hours but less time spent with patients, less pay, less time with family, hassle from management, rocketing costs of medical indemnity the list goes on. Not to mention the sacrifices like missed birthday parties, family functions, festivals etc. Even countries like the UK, have not been spared of this worrying trend. Junior doctors in the UK are for the first time going on strike over a 30% paycut which will come into effect in august 2016.

When I say junior doctors, these doctors are in their mid 30s with house loans and kids and soon to be consultants. Even the consultants in the NHS (National Health Service) have not been spared and have their pay frozen for the past 4 years.
