The Society of Critical Care Medicine has developed a comprehensive clinical practice guideline for critically ill infants and children on seven domains of care (Figure 1). The guideline evaluates the current practice and makes recommendations to address sedation, pain , and delirium management with main focus areas as mentioned in figure 2. The task force issued 44 recommendations (14 strong and 30 conditional) along with five good practice statements. This article covers the guidelines exclusively for delirium management in the ICU for critically ill pediatric patients (Table 1, Figure 3). Figure 1.
