The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) has recently issued updated standards for Day Surgery Centres (DSCs). These standards have been developed by the Department of Health Policies and Standards at the DHA following the international best practices to enhance patient safety, satisfaction, and experience. The standards are classified into the following four categories: Health facility Health professionals Service provision Reporting and inspection A few guidelines in the above-mentioned categories are listed below: Health facility The license issued to DSCs will be categorized into four types (A, B, C-M, and C).
