India is emerging as the diabetic capital of the world. Most of the time, diabetic patients eventually develop diabetic retinopathy. With the intention to determine the level of the problem and to generate awareness, the All India Ophthalmological Society (AIOS), undertook an initiative of DR screening in 2014 across the country. In this exclusive KOL Interview, Dr Lalit Verma sharing experience about the diabetic retinopathy screening project that he started in AIOS to generate awareness. He is a Gold Medalist in Ophthalmology and has received the prestigious S. C. Dutta Roy award by All India Ophthalmological Society. Dr. Verma was also the chairman of the scientific committee at AIOC 2018 .
