A 20 days old baby having foul smelling loose stool for last 10-12 days. Initially he was TOP fed. Now only on breast feed. He has taken a course of coistin sulphate (wallamycin) but no improvement. He is having 8-10 loose stool per day.

On stool examination few pus cells and mixed bacteria were reported. His weight has increased from 3.6 to 3.7 Kg. What should be done to control loose stool? reducing sugar present in stool and excoriation also present in perianal area
