Highlights Endometriosis affects nearly 15% of patients with infertility, requiring assisted reproduction treatment like in-vitro fertilization (IVF). Lower fertilization and pregnancy rates are observed in patients with endometriosis pursuing IVF. Long-term use of Gonadotropin-releasing hormone agonist (GnRHa) is associated with various hypo-estrogenic adverse effects. Dienogest (DNG), a selective progestin reduces the activity of endometriotic lesions and is a safe substitute for GnRHa pretreatment in endometriosis patients.
