This morning I saw a 34 yr old gentleman, complaining of shortness of breath. He had prior history of such episodes, he was not producing sputum and was afebrile. On examination he had Rhonchi in lung fields corresponding to rt upper and middle lobes. I nebulized him with Levosalbutamol, and he became comfortable. My impression was exacerbation of bronchial asthma, i planned the treatment hence forth.
in addition i asked for a chest Xray. My question is when asthma is an inflammatory disorder, then why rhonchi in 2 / 6 lung fields. Kindly give ur comments / Diffrential Diagnosis?
