Prompt intervention by a team of doctors recently saved the life of a 41-year-old heavy smoker who collapsed in the Emergency Room of a hospital in Sharjah following a cardiac arrest. Till date, various cases have strongly proved the association between heavy smoking and cardiac diseases. Recently, a 41-year-old male patient encountered a similar instance of critical cardiac arrest and was saved through timely intervention by doctors.

The patient, who had a long history of smoking, was initially rushed to the emergency department of the Medcare Hospital, Dubai, where he became unconscious and collapsed due to a cardiac arrest.
