There are various diseases which we may miss and pass undiagnosed simply because they are not in mind. These may be either of: -common or rare. -Multi systematic. -Lack of specific diagnostic tests/criteria. -subclinical or have different clinical manifestations.
-Doctor's speciality orientation. - Once are diagnosed, most of such diseases are treatable. Thus, we as physicians must always put such & all diseases in our mind. Examples :Rheumatoid arthritis, SLE, Vasculitides, Familial mediterranean fever, Sjogren's Disease ( exocrine endocrinopathy), Typhoid and parathyroid fever, Brucellosis, Behcet's disease, eosinophilic esophagitis, Dengue, IBS, Fibromyalgia.....and so on. Finally,we should remember the child's story " The blind men and the elephant"
