A damaged femoral vein and its inflow vessels can be effectively managed through endophlebectomy combined with stenting. Endophlebectomy and stenting in post-thrombotic syndrome patients are gaining popularity due to their superior patency and clinical success rates. Endophlebectomy/endovenectomy offers several advantages when combined with iliac stenting, which improves inflow to the stents by securing flow from all major side branches of the femoral vein. This helps reduce the risk of re-thrombosis. However, selecting an appropriate combination of surgical procedures depends upon the patient’s clinical condition.
