In another bizarre negligence incident, a team of medical staff in a renowned hospital left a towel inside the woman’s stomach, during the caesarian delivery of her child. Over a year, the woman experienced pain and her health deteriorated, but the hospital staff could not diagnose the cause of this pain. This incident came to light when the woman consulted another hospital to diagnosis the cause of her sufferings. The family detailed that the woman had to again undergo surgery to remove the towel, which led to physical, emotional and financial sufferings for the entire family.
