Considering the seriousness of increasing attacks on doctors, the Health Department has decided to train doctors in communication skills. With regard to this a state-wide movement 'Susanwaad Abhiyaan' is approved and initiated by the department to train and polish soft skills of medical professionals. Many medical colleges are initiating communication skills workshops under this movement. A Thane-based social organization is also facilitating this move.
The department believes that the development and improvement of certain communication skills will lessen the friction between the patients' relatives and the doctors, further reducing assaults. Source: Times of India Do you think this movement will prove beneficial for reducing attacks on doctors?
