In a recent incident, the newborn twins died at the government general hospital. The twins father claimed that the babies died due to doctor’s negligence. He further claimed that these babies did not receive timely emergency care. On the other hand, the hospital authorities investigated and concluded that the babies were healthy until they received their feed in the morning. As the babies were not suckling properly, they were prescribed with formula feed.
The authorities further stated that probably when the patient’s attendants were changing shift, they were given formula feed by the mother. The first baby turned blue and was taken to NICU by staff. The baby was declared dead and the second baby also showed similar conditions and was put on the ventilator and died a few hours later.
