Although Rezum and UroLift are widely used minimally invasive treatments for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), long-term comparative evidence remains limited. To address this gap, a study compared 3-year reintervention rates between the two procedures in 3,697 patients aged 40 years or older who underwent Rezum (n=771) or UroLift (n=2,926). Following propensity score matching (PSM), no significant difference was observed in the overall 3-year reintervention rates between the two procedures (hazard ratio [HR], 0.94).

In the subgroup of patients aged 65 years or older, Rezum was associated with fewer reinterventions than UroLift (HR, 0.62).
