Every student in a medical school has faced either a severe or a mild form of ragging at several points of time in their early days. I am sure that every medical student has faced ragging in of a form of either emotional abuse or physical abuse. Most seniors treat their  juniors as their personal slaves often using them as their personal slaves, for running errands and for writing their records. Many of the disobedient have also faced the "dire consequences" in the form of physical abuse.

In short, it is a process fo losing your self-esteem but still learning the skill of "gandhigiri". While reminiscing about those ragging days in medical college, some questions always come up in my mind. Is it those harsh ragging and disrespectful behavior that made our personality this much strong that we can withstand so many adverse situations? we can get back to the same ward to serve an ailing…
