In Indian population the incidence of vitamin D deficiency is very high. Lab test for estimation of its levels are very expensive. In the present scenario of medical practice sufficient levels of this vitamin are either linked to the success of treatments of various disorders and normal health. One most common cause of its deficiency is non-exposure to sunlight.

On the other hand, cosmetic products of sunscreen cream and lotions are flooded in the market and their use is a common practice.Theoretically with the use of these products vitamin D deficiency can occur. Can it be another cause of vitamin D deficiency? Please share your expert views.
