Synopsis Statins for the gold standard of treatment for the prevention of Coronary artery diseases (CADs). Recent clinical trials have suggested the risk of hyperglycemia in patients on statins therapy but none have given a detailed insight on the mechanism of diabetogenic effect of statin and the comorbidities associated with it. The present study thus fulfilled this knowledge gap by conducting a trial on 100 patients kept on various dose regimen of statins.
