Every year on 9 th March, World Kidney Day highlights the importance of Kidney Health and Disease to people around the world. This World Kidney Day let us pledge to change someone’s life. World Kidney Day aims to raise global awareness of the importance of our kidneys to our overall health and to reduce the frequency and impact of kidney disease and its associated health problems. Kidney diseases are silent killers, which largely affect our quality of life.
There are however several easy ways to reduce the risk of developing kidney disease. World kidney day was first celebrated in 2006 asking the question- “ Are your kidneys OK ?”.
