A first time pregnant lady has completed a course of Doxycycline 100mg & Metronidazole 400mg for (2 weeks) for vaginal discharge & lower abdominal pain. Unknowing of her pregnant status she also took a 5 day course of Estrogen+Progesterone to bring about the menses which was prescribed actually a few months earlier by a Gynaecologist for PCOS. Now pregnancy test comes out to be positive (USG - 11wks gestation).
Is there any possibility of adverse effect on the pregnancy ? Any teratogenic effect on child ?
