Systemic sclerosis (SSc) is a rare dermatological disorder affecting multiple organ systems with no complete cure so far. Management of various dermatological, cardiac, renal complications together is a challenge for clinicians. The EULAR (The European League against Rheumatism) guideline provides recommendations to rheumatologists and practitioners to help in choosing appropriate pharmacological treatment for SSc patients.
Systemic sclerosis or scleroderma has affected approximately 504000 people in India till 2010.
