DUBAI, THE UAE The Dubai Government has launched the Dubai Clinical Practice Guidelines for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in Children and Adolescents, a major project aiming at improving the integrated health and social care system for children and young adults with autism. The policy is aligned with the Dubai Disability Strategy 2020's inclusive health policy program, which is a part of the 'My Community: A City for Everyone' initiative.
The guidelines aim to unify the procedures and mechanisms for: Early detection and intervention Integration of treatment methods and protocols Upgrading the health and social services to ensure that people with autism have equal opportunities in education, health, employment, and other spheres of life.
