Sharing an interesting Clinical Case Team ER of our Hospital came across a few weeks back; A 35-year-old female Indian Married lady reported to ER with pain in throat and difficulty in swallowing since last 2-3 days. On examination seeing, the throat congested the ER physician started the patient on antibiotics and analgesics.The patient returned back the next day in ER with complaints worsening with more or less absolute dysphagia and had bouts of vomitings also.She also gave history of having meat with bone a few days back and that arose the suspicion of ? implication of meat bone in oesophagus.
Xray soft tissue neck was done in ER which was suggestive of suspicious radio opaque shadow in the cervical part of esophagus at the level of C5/C6.She gave the history of one episode of sudden loss of consciousness which was not thoroughly investigated. Next day morning the patient was…
