There is a worldwide secular trend of reduction in the age of menarche and most girls with early menarche are vitamin D deficient and either overweight or obese. This phenomenon may be related to lifestyle changes, hence all schools at entry level must have a 45 min exercise programme under the guidance of a physical instructor every day. Physicians who care for children should address life cycle approach and family behaviour for each child apart from caring for the sickness for which appointment has been taken.
