I work in a Private Medical College full time. After the corrupt officials were removed and the committee installed to oversee the MCI, things had improved. I went to my niece's marriage in Delhi , I came back and the surprise inspection happened the next day. We all said, "thank God I came back or they would have thought I am a Ghost Doctor who just comes for inspection." (MCI only conducts surprise inspections). As someone who was the Owner, President & Chancellor of a fully accredited and approved institute/College in California USA, I see the difference.
All inspections in the USA were scheduled inspections. In 3 years I had only one 2-person team visit from the Accrediting Commission that was unannounced.
