Researchers from the United Arab Emirates healthcare group in 2020 had initiated the Emirati Genome Program that aims to diagnose diseases caused by DNA changes. To date,several anonymous blood samples from UAE citizens have been collected and Emiratis are being urged to submit more such blood samples to expand the project.
