Presence of ocular parasites subconjunctival or intraocular is not an uncommon entity. We have nematodes, cestodes, and protozoan category. I have seen a case of the larva of wuchereria bancrofti in anterior chamber during my post-graduation in ophthalmology.

A patient had a thread like motile object moving in the anterior chamber and disappearing. Paracentesis was done in this patient so with the gush of a queue, the larva came out in the histological report. It was the larva of wuchereria bancrofti Sometimes the parasite, subconjunctival or in the anterior chamber is so long that it may have cut in pieces as far as its removal is concerned, same is the case for avascular maggots.
