Bariatric surgery is a promising therapy for obesity, resulting in drastic weight-loss and a high degree of recovery from obesity-related comorbidities. Although rare, bariatric surgery complications, like staple line leak, fistulas, postoperative bleeding, and stenosis, might be life-threatening if they remain undiagnosed or untreated. Endoscopy enables early diagnosis and timely implementation of treatment, and therefore, it is recommended for managing postoperative bariatric complications over surgical reinterventions.
