It is evident that endoscopic sphincterotomy (ES) is one of the standard procedures for bile duct stone removal. However, there is less evidence for the safety of ES in patients with hemophilia . A recent case report published in the Clinical Journal of Gastroenterology demonstrated that ES can be also an effective and safe first-line therapy for choledocholithiasis in patients with hemophilia. Researchers treated a 46-year-old man presented with choledocholithiasis and severe hemophilia A by high-responding inhibitors during immune tolerance induction therapy.
