Lucknow police have booked a former manager of a pathology laboratory for manipulating patients' lab reports, specifically altering HIV -negative reports to HIV-positive ones. He is also accused of changing report values by a factor of one hundred. The lab's director filed an FIR against the former manager, alleging that he tampered with numerous patients' lab reports. The accused joined the lab in April of this year and resigned in November following disagreements with the owners.
During his tenure, patients' reports were sent to a mobile phone provided by the lab for his work. However, he retained the phone even after resigning.
