Oman’s Ministry of Health has announced plans to replace expats with Omanis in 19 occupations. These steps have been taken by the Ministry of Health as a part of the Omanization drive to integrate more Omanis in its workforce. Oman already has restricted companies from recruiting expats to jobs across 87 sectors. To further increase recruitment of Omanis, the Ministry of Health is inviting applications from suitable Omani candidates for technical positions in mental health, nutrition, psychotherapy, echocardiography, cardiology, and sleep disorder.
Recruitment of candidates will depend on their level of employment and academic qualifications. The Ministry has also specified the locations where there are job availabilities.
